Editorial Policy

Speed Print Scenery helps terrain makers, hobbyists, clubs and print-farm operators get more useful tabletop scenery from the printer time and filament available. Our coverage focuses on the decisions that materially affect output: nozzle size, layer height, model geometry, supports, batching, filament use and long-print reliability.

Accuracy starts with the conditions

Our editorial standard is to make claims specific, relevant and useful for the job at hand. Technical articles use current printer, slicer, nozzle and filament documentation, alongside relevant primary sources. Secondary and community sources can add practical context, but do not replace manufacturer documentation for specifications, features or operating guidance.

When an article draws on a supplied controlled print test, its conclusion stays within the conditions documented for that test. Time and material comparisons should state the machine, nozzle, layer height, material, geometry and intended quality target when those details are available. Slicer estimates and predicted savings are configuration-dependent, not universal results.

Evidence, experience and opinion

A useful recommendation should show the tradeoff behind it. We separate documented facts from estimates and editorial judgment, explaining practical consequences such as lost surface detail, extra filament use, reduced cleanup or stronger batch reliability. The recurring question is simple: how much useful terrain can this setup produce for the time and material used?

Documented firsthand experience and measurements are identified as such. Research-based analysis is presented as research rather than as a print test. Editorial artwork is illustration, while documentary images and other source material should identify their source and provide enough context for readers to understand what they show.

Corrections and updates

We correct material errors that could change a reader’s understanding, settings or purchasing decision. Articles may also be updated when software, hardware, product specifications or official guidance changes. Minor edits for clarity may be made without changing the underlying conclusion.

To report a possible error, email contact@speedprintscenery.com or use the contact page. Please include the article URL, the passage in question and supporting evidence where possible. For information about email signups and privacy requests, see the Privacy Policy.
